RP Hooks

- Aethersensitive. Empath. Toki is highly aethersensitive as well as an empath, specifically by touch. Any who touch Toki will be prompted OOCly to relay what they wish of what Toki might be able to feel or perceive.
- Jingles. The Keeper is most always covered in jewelry and trinkets of some kind -- enough so that there is typically a jingle to his movements.
- [Aether] For those with aethersense or aether-sight, there are some things they might be able to note that is not readily visible to others.
- Padjal-related. Toki might be known around circles related to the Padjal. His adopted daughter, Vaila-O-Temps, being one of their number. There is also some history where he has sought their aid.
- [Cult of the Shroud] In the Shroud, there is a possibility of hearing rumors or having knowledge of the strange cults that live in its caves and woods.
- Hingan-related. There's a rumor of a miqo'te matching his description being a frequent presence alongside Lord Ryujyhin. Maybe it has something to do with the ribbon, red like the clan's color, worn in his hair?
- Nosey. Toki is extremely nosey when it comes to anyone with aetherial abnormalities. If you have any, feel free to send me a /tell of what he might note!
- Treasure hunter. Especially items related to aetherial manipulation as well as the void.
- Ossuary Records. For some reason, Toki is listed as an individual protected and under surveillance by a member of the ossuary.
- Fortune-teller and street performer. There are times when Toki will offer his services as a "follower of nymeia" and use his cards to tell the future or fortunes of those who ask. It's been said in hushed whispers, that the readings are surprisingly accurate. The first one is free, but the rest come at a price.
- Gambling addict. Horrible gambling addict. Also horrible at gambling. He's in horrible debt.

The beastie rarely shows itself and I promise it can't and won't bite! I only RP what is comfortable for others so if you are truly interested in getting into the nitty gritty of Toki's voidsent, feel free to inquire. I don't openly pursue anything of the occult, aetherial, or otherwise without first opening some OOC communication. :)

RP Hooks (aether-related)

- Masked aether. For any of the following, please /tell me if you'd like a chance at seeing past Toki's aetherial mask. The mask he wears is there for a reason beyond concealing his face. It has an enchantment on it to mask away his aetherial abnormalities.
- Tainted by the void. While Toki is not void-possessed, there is an undeniable voidal presence attached to his body almost as though his very existence is shrouded by it.
- A patchwork soul. Toki's spirit is quite fragmented. What were once individual spirits have been melded together into one.

RP Hooks (cult-related)

- There are rumors of a number of cultists residing in the shroud responsible for kidnappings as well as ritualistic sacrifices. These rumors are not only recent but have been around since before the calamity.
- Toki is not only a member of one of these cults, but is the leader of one that has been recently going around taking a select few from others.
- The group that Toki is leader of revere him as something close to their god. He, of course, is no such thing. But it does not change the loyalty and devotion they have towards him. More specifically they worship a voidsent as their god. The cult seems to believe there is some sort of significant connection between their 'god' and Toki. They call him the tether or vessel.
- The cult resides deep in the shroud beneath the ruins of a town formerly known as Banora. Thus, the underground nature-claimed tunnels in which the cult claims its home is called the Banoran Grove.
- OOC note: The cult members are all NPC's. I do not feel comfortable actually involving other player characters as members as they are used purely off-screen for plot purposes only. I do not openly rp the cult members unless for events or by request. Aside from his second-in-command, they're all plot fodder.
- OOC note: Feel free to send a /tell my way for any plot interest involving the cult. I'm open to hearing out any ideas you might have!

References/Description

- Hair: It has been described as cotton-candy due to its color. Long, thick, and most commonly worn in some up-do configuration with braids, plaits, etc. It would not be uncommon for a few of his trinkets to find their way into the style as well.
- Eyes: Lilac
- Face-mask: A white monoa mask that has been aetherially enchanted to mask/cloak Toki's aether signal from others. He's almost never seen without it.
- Face-brand: An aetherial marking branded onto his face as part of a pact/deal/binding
- Scars: Lichtenberg figure scarring throughout his body -- all stemming from 5 holes at his chest as though a hand's fingers had drove in and grew roots beneath the skin. The scarring is slightly raised and even reaches his face. There is also a sizable 'hole' like scar as though he had been blasted straight through at his chest -- unrelated to the other scarring. There is an additional scar a bit lower from a blade stab wound. His wrists are likewise scarred due to self-inflicted injuries (this scarring can be omitted if its an issue)
- Trinkets/Charms: Think very fortuneteller/gypsy-esque. Toki is a fairly superstitious person. He also collected these trinkets over a long period of time as well as from another individual important to him who is no longer existing. Bracelets, necklaces, anklettes, rings, he likely has all of this and much more. They're the reason he jingles with ever movement. A number of the accessories have crystals embedded or incorporated in some fashion which he utilizes during aetherial manipulation.
- Dodo earring - Left ear. A dodo pendant with an unaspected crystal embedded
- Coeurl-shaped charm
- Moon and stars anklette - Even if wearing boots, he adjusts this to be worn on the outside and kept visible. His left ankle.

Flavor details

- Clothing: Generally kept clothed head to toe as much as possible. He's very self-conscious about his scars. He tends to prefer comfortable clothing such as robes, etc. But he has been known to wear stylish attire as well as long as it is not revealing.
- Trinkets: He's never without them. Even when changing clothing, etc, the trinkets all stay.
- Void: Toki is the tether for a voidsent within the shroud. This is a tightly guarded secret for obvious reasons. This enables him to perform voidal magicks.
- Fortune-teller: Despite all his lies and cover-ups, he actually is capable of telling fortunes for others with a deck of cards he has created for himself. He claims to be a follower of Nymeia.
- Cult: As the tether to a voidsent in the shroud which is worshipped by a slightly crazed/misled cult, Toki has become their leader. For now.
- Cave-dweller: His home is a grove grown beneath the ruins of a shroud town known as Banora. Thus, the hidden grove is named the Banoran Grove.
- Deal-maker: He has been known to make aetherial-contracts with others by handshake or aetherially marking objects given to others.
- Gambling addict: Horrible gambling addict. Also horrible at gambling. He's in horrible debt.
